Greater Houston’s all-makes automotive community
Space City Car Club was built for people who love the automotive lifestyle — from classics and customs to Corvettes, muscle cars, trucks, imports, exotics, off-road builds, daily drivers, and everything in between.
We are a club for the people behind the vehicles: the builders, drivers, families, dreamers, weekend cruisers, show regulars, and first-timers who want a place to belong.
This is where horsepower meets community, where every build has a story, and where the road ahead is better when we ride together.
Space City Car Club exists to bring automotive enthusiasts together through real connection, quality events, community involvement, and shared pride in the vehicles we drive.
We believe car culture should be welcoming, organized, family-friendly, and open to all makes, models, years, and experience levels. You do not need the rarest car, the loudest exhaust, or the biggest build to be part of this club. You just need the passion.
Our mission is to create a club where members feel seen, supported, and excited to show up — whether that means attending a cruise, volunteering at a show, representing the club, supporting a cause, or simply making new friends who understand the love of the ride.
Space City Car Club began with a simple idea: create a car club that feels organized, modern, welcoming, and meaningful from the start.
The goal was never to build a club around ego or exclusivity. The goal was to create something people could be proud to join — a club with structure, leadership, energy, creativity, and a real sense of direction.
We are still building, still growing, and still shaping what this club will become. But the foundation is clear: all makes, all models, all years, one crew.
The Idea
Summer 2025A group of automotive enthusiasts saw the opportunity to create a club that welcomed different vehicles, different people, and different styles — while still keeping a strong identity and a shared purpose.
The Foundation
Fall 2025Space City Car Club was formed with a founding leadership team focused on membership, events, merchandise, digital media, community involvement, and long-term growth.
From the beginning, the club was built to be more than casual. It was built to last.
The Founder Board is established
January 2026Space City Car Club established its Founder Board to provide clear leadership, protect the club’s mission, and guide the long-term growth of the organization.
The Buildout
February 2026The club began developing its website, membership system, online shop, event platform, leadership profiles, member features, sponsor opportunities, and content sections to support both public visitors and active members.
Every piece is part of the bigger vision.
Website Launch
May 2026Space City Car Club launched its official website in May 2026, creating a central hub for membership, events, merchandise, leadership, community impact, and future growth.
The Road Ahead
Q2 2026With new members, upcoming events, community partnerships, merchandise, car shows, and a growing digital presence, Space City Car Club is just getting started.
The future is wide open — and we are building it together.
Space City Car Club is being built with intention. We are not trying to be another loose group with a logo and a group chat. We are creating a club with structure, identity, member benefits, public events, digital tools, merchandise, community impact, and room to grow.
We want the experience to feel polished, but still personal. Organized, but not stiff. Exciting, but still welcoming.
This is a club for people who want to show up, get involved, represent something they believe in, and be part of a community that moves forward together.
You do not have to fit into one scene to belong here. Space City Car Club brings together different vehicles, different styles, and different personalities under one shared passion.
Members are encouraged to attend events, share their builds, support club activities, volunteer, represent the club, and help shape the energy of the community.
From membership and events to merchandise, sponsors, community impact, and digital content, the club is being built with systems that can grow as the club grows.
We are proud to represent the Greater Houston automotive community, but our vision goes beyond one meetup or one event. Space City Car Club is building a name, a presence, and a culture people can recognize.
Space City Car Club is guided by a founding leadership team focused on building an organized, welcoming, and community-driven club.
Each leader brings unique strengths across operations, membership, events, merchandise, digital media, and outreach — all working together to support members, protect the mission, and keep the club moving forward.
Founder, President, Car Show Director
Joshua Ybarra is more than a car enthusiast—he’s a driving force behind one of Houston’s growing automotive communities. With over 35 years of passion rooted in car culture, Joshua has turned a lifelong love for building and owning project cars into something bigger than horsepower—it’s about impact.
His diverse background spans the automotive industry, major market radio as an on-air DJ, and public service in both law enforcement and the medical field. That unique combination fuels his ability to connect with people from all walks of life while staying grounded in service, leadership, and community.
As the Founder and President of Space City Car Club, Joshua leads a movement built on unity, culture, and giving back. What started as a shared passion has grown into a platform that brings enthusiasts together while actively supporting local communities through events, outreach, and charitable efforts.
Backed by his wife and children, Joshua continues to build a legacy that goes beyond cars—creating opportunities, inspiring others, and proving that car culture can be a powerful force for good.
Founder, Vice President, Digital Director
I’m Samir Joza, Vice President of Space City Car Club, and I’m proud to be part of a community built around a shared love for cars, good people, and great experiences. For me, this club is about more than just what we drive. It’s about bringing people together, creating real connections, and building a welcoming, family-friendly space where everyone feels like they belong, no matter what make or model they have.
Outside of the club, I work as a senior web developer and marketing professional, so I naturally enjoy helping with ideas, communication, branding, and finding ways to help the club grow. I like being involved both behind the scenes and out at events, helping make sure Space City Car Club continues to be a place people are excited to be part of.
I’m also very into creativity, design, photography, music, and tech, which all shape the way I look at community and storytelling. At the end of the day, I just enjoy helping build something people can be proud of — a club that brings together passion for cars, strong friendships, and a real sense of community.
Founder, Treasurer
Christie serves as Treasurer for Space City Car Club. Her passion for cars began in 2004 when she purchased her 2004 Ford Mustang GT straight off the showroom floor—a car she proudly still owns today. That passion continues to this day as she now enjoys driving her 2026 Ford Bronco 60th Anniversary Edition, blending classic enthusiasm with modern style and performance.
Founder, Secretary
I’m Jackie Joza, and I’m proud to serve as Secretary of Space City Car Club. I’m a mom of two grown boys, happily married to the love of my life, and enjoying retirement after a long career in accounting and administration.
I’ve always loved cars, but what I love most is the way they bring people together. Being part of Space City Car Club gives me the opportunity to stay involved, help behind the scenes, support our members, and be part of something positive in the community.
I’m excited to help our club grow, stay organized, and continue building a welcoming place for car enthusiasts, families, and friends to come together.
Founder, Membership Director
Veronica brings heart, energy, and a deep love for community to Space City Car Club. Born in Galveston, Veronica has always had a passion for cars, music, and connecting with people. Outside of the club, she is an online radio personality with Puropartyradio.com and enjoys supporting the local live music scene. Her love for cars became even more personal after inheriting her late husband’s 2022 C8.R, a vehicle that now carries both memories and meaning. Veronica’s warmth, enthusiasm, and passion make her a valued part of the Space City Car Club family.
Space City Car Club believes the automotive community can be a force for good.
Our events, merchandise, sponsorships, and member involvement give us opportunities to support causes that matter, raise awareness, and bring people together for more than trophies and photos.
One of the causes close to our mission is Isaiah 117 House, whose work supports children during one of the most difficult transitions of their lives. As the club grows, we want our platform to help shine a light on efforts like this and encourage our members, sponsors, and supporters to be part of something meaningful.
This is where passion meets purpose — and where the club has the chance to make an impact beyond the show field.
Space City Car Club is proud to partner with businesses and organizations that believe in community, connection, and the automotive lifestyle. Their support helps us host stronger events, serve our members, and expand our impact throughout the Greater Houston area.
